Sardasht/ Land mine explosion killed two persons

Kurdistan Press Agency: A Kurdish citizen from Elam got victimized in Sardasht city due to a land mine explosion.

According to Kurdistan Press Agency report, yesterday on Friday, November 15, 2013, a citizen called’’ Asghar Asady’’ was injured during gathering land mines in ‘’ Doopara Mountains’’ in Sardasht, and he finally lost his life while at the hospital.

That Kurdish citizen was from ‘’Banqallan’’ village in Elam who has been working as the officer at Land mine gathering office.

Also, at the beginning of this month, another employee of that office ’’ Mahdy Kaboody’’ lost one of his feet due to land mine explosion.

According to the Iranian Islamic Government statistic, during the year of 2012, 91 officers and employees of this office have been killed and 40 others have been injured due to land mine explosion.

Furthermore, according to that statistic, during last year (2012), totally 5 civilians also have been died by land mine explosions, and 8 more have been injured.

But According to the data registered by the Kurdistan press agency statistic center, 20 civilians have been killed, and 20 more injured and handicapped.
