He has been deprived of all contact, family visits, and access to legal counsel.

According to an informed source speaking to Kurdpa; on the afternoon of Sunday, August 23, 2026, security forces raided the workplace of "Salam (Shahin) Azari", arresting him violently without presenting a judicial warrant and transferring him to an unknown location, with no information on his fate to date.

Until the time of publication of this news, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest or possible charges against this Kurdish citizen, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard. Furthermore, he has had no contact with his family, and there is no information on his fate or whereabouts.

Previously, on November 18, 2023, this Kurdish citizen was arrested at his workplace by security forces without a judicial warrant. Following that, security forces raided his personal home and conducted a search. After 82 days of arbitrary detention in a security detention center in Urmia, he was transferred to Naghadeh Central Prison and temporarily released on a 2 billion Toman bail.

Ultimately, in January 2024, he was sentenced by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Mahabad, presided over by Judge "Dousti", to one year in prison on charges of "membership in an opposition Kurdish party" and six months in prison on charges of "propaganda against the state."
