August 23, 2026; This morning, Sunday, August 23, 2026, "Atousa Jafari", a young Kurdish woman from Sanandaj, was murdered by her husband with knife strikes in front of her family's residence due to her "divorce request." Over the past three years, Atousa had been subjected to continuous violence and threats from her husband, yet the court ignored her divorce petitions.

An informed source confirmed this news to Kurdpa, stating: This morning, before getting into her car to go to work, Atousa was killed after being struck eight times with a knife.

This informed source stated that Atousa had been seeking a divorce in court for three years because she was severely abused and lived in constant fear of him. However, despite three years passing and the fact that Atousa was subjected to intense domestic abuse and harassment, the court refused to grant the divorce.

The source added: Her husband would beat her, was constantly suspicious of her, and did not want her to go anywhere outside. On one occasion, Atousa's arm was broken as a result of a beating, and her husband had repeatedly threatened her. Atousa had even told the judge in court that her husband was stalking and threatening her; however, the judge responded to her by saying: "Is it not better for your own husband to stalk you and follow you around than a stranger?"

According to this source, throughout the three years of court proceedings, Atousa lived with her family, residing solely with her mother. Her father passed away two years ago at the age of 46, and relatives state he died from the intense grief and distress over Atousa's situation. Her father was an employee at the post office, and after his passing, Atousa took over his position at work.

According to the source, Atousa was an only child. She held a Master's degree in Law, possessed several medal titles in Kung Fu, and was a vibrant young woman full of life.

The source noted that Atousa's husband has currently been arrested on charges of "murder."
