One year suspended sentence for Kurdish student

Kurdpa - One of the members of the Democratic Union\'s Central Council of Kurdish Students was sentenced to one suspended year sentence by the Revolution Court in Sanandaj (The Capital of Kurdistan province in Iran).

According to the received report to the Kurdpa News Agency, on February 12, Soran Daneshvar who is a student activist was sentenced to one year imprisonment, suspended for two years by the Revolution Court in Sanandaj.

Last summer Suran Daneshvar along with several members of the Democratic Union of Kurdish Students ,were arrested by the Intelligence Office in Sanandaj.

This verdict was notified to him a day after issuance by the office manager of the Revolution Court.

Soran Daneshvar is the Secretary of the Coordination Committee and the spokesman for the Kurdish Students\' Union.

Over the past few months, the Intelligence forces of Islamic regime in Iran have detained seven of the members of this organization.
