In solidarity with Kaboudvand, family and colleagues stage a hunger strike

Kurdpa: In solidarity and in concurrence with Mohammad Sedigh Kaboudvand’s hunger re-strike, Kurdistan Human Rights Organization’s high council and Kaboudvand’s family members are set to begin their hunger strike as well.
In a statement, a copy of which was sent to Kurdpa, the hunger strike is supposed to begin on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. The English translation of the statement, below, was made available by Kurdpa staff writer:
With Kaboudvand, we are on hunger strike as well
It has been nearly 20 days that Mohammad Sedigh Kaboudvand, the President of Kurdistan Human Rights Organization has gone on hunger strike to have his basic humanitarian and legal demands met. Regrettably, officials have failed to address his concerns so far leaving Kaboudvand no choice but to take further measures to even include solid food in his hunger strike, which has caused us a great concern.
The high council of Kurdistan Human Rights Organization along with Kaboudvand’s family will also start a hunger strike on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in solidarity with Mr. Kaboudvand and echoing our concern to world conscious.
