28 victims of landmine explosions in six months

Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): 28 Kurdish citizens from the provinces of Urmia, Sna (Sanandaj), Kirmashan (Kermanshah) and Ilam have been killed or wounded due to landmine explosions during the past six months.
According the statistics sent by runners of Min and Zendegi Blog to Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa), 28 Kurdish citizens from the provinces of Urmia, Sna, Kirmashan and Ilam have been killed or wounded.
According to these statistics, the most accidents caused by landmine explosions have occurred in the provinces of Kirmashan and Sna, respectively.
Six people have died and 22 others have been injured. Two victims have been under eighteen.
Most of the wounded have been injured from leg, hand or eye.
Even though the provinces like West Azarbayejan, Kurdisrtan, Ilam, Kermansha and Khouzestan are the most mine-infested regions in Iran with more than 16 million mine lands, the Iranian government has not yet done anything to tackle this problem.
