Saqqez; More Than a Week of Detention and No Information on the Fate of Reza Rajabi

July 3, 2026; Following more than a week since the arbitrary arrest of “Reza Rajabi,” a Kurdish citizen from Saqqez, there remains no information regarding his fate or current whereabouts. He has been strictly denied access to legal counsel, family visitations, and telephone calls.

An informed source confirmed the news to Kurdpa, stating: Reza Rajabi, a Kurdish citizen from Saqqez and a local marketplace shopkeeper, was arrested by security forces in late June / early July 2026 without a judicial warrant and transferred to an undisclosed location. Since his arrest, his fate remains completely unknown, and he has been barred from any contact with his family or a lawyer.

To date, no information has been made available regarding the reasons for his arrest, and security agencies have provided no official explanation concerning his case.
