July 10, 2026; Over the past few days, security forces raided the residence of “Alireza Hemmati,” a teachers’ union and civil activist from Abdanan, Ilam Province. Following a thorough search of his home and the confiscation of his personal belongings, authorities officially summoned him to appear before the Ilam Revolutionary Court on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

An informed source confirmed the details to Kurdpa, stating: On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, security forces executed a raid on the home of Alireza Hemmati without presenting a judicial warrant. Operatives searched the premises and confiscated his personal electronic devices, including his laptop and mobile phone. Furthermore, he was ordered to report to the Ilam Revolutionary Court this coming Sunday, July 12, 2026.

The dynamic of the raid was reportedly characterized by intimidation, inducing severe anxiety and panic for the activist and his family members.

Alireza Hemmati, a Kurdish citizen born in 1977, is a public school teacher with 28 years of professional service. In the summer of 2023, he was sentenced to a three-month suspension from service due to his union advocacy. His background includes organizing and participating in teachers’ union demonstrations as well as supporting the 2022 nationwide protests.
