July 8, 2026; Following six months since the arbitrary arrest of “Soroush Karami,” an 18-year-old Kurdish youth from Kermanshah—who was recently transferred to Dieselabad Prison under the charge of Moharebeh (enmity against God) after months in an undisclosed location—he continues to be held in a solitary confinement cell within the prison's security wing, with no information available regarding his life and fate.

An informed source confirmed the details to Kurdpa, stating: Soroush Karami was held in the general ward of Dieselabad Prison for only two hours following his transfer from an undisclosed location before being promptly moved to a solitary confinement cell in the security wing. Since then, his family and relatives have received no updates regarding his well-being. Throughout his six months of arbitrary detention, he has been denied even a brief phone call, leaving his family entirely unaware of whether he is alive.

Kurdpa previously reported on June 18, 2026, that Soroush Karami—who was arrested during the January 2026 protests in Kermanshah and whose whereabouts had remained unknown for over five months—was transferred to the security wing of Dieselabad Prison on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, where he was formally charged with Moharebeh. His case file was processed by Branch 16 of the Kermanshah Investigation Court and has recently been referred to one of the branches of the Kermanshah Revolutionary Court for judicial review.

Additionally, on February 12, 2026—marking the 43rd day of his enforced disappearance—Kurdpa had reported an absolute lack of information regarding his status. The 18-year-old was arrested without a judicial warrant on the evening of January 8, 2026, amid public protests and subsequent state crackdowns in the "Maskan" neighborhood of Kermanshah, and was taken to an unknown location.

Over the past six months, despite continuous inquiries by his family, no state agency or institution has provided any accountability regarding his situation. Throughout this entire duration, he has been systematically denied the right to contact or meet his family, as well as the right to access legal counsel.
