Sardasht; Arbitrary Detention of Kamran Rasoulnezhad and Transfer to an Unknown Location

April 30, 2026; During the past few days, a Kurdish citizen from the Village of “Nastan” in Sardasht, Province of West Azerbaijan, named “Kamran Rasoulnezhad,” was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

An informed source, confirming this news to Kurdpa, stated that on the night of Tuesday, April 28, 2026, “Kamran Rasoulnezhad,” a 19-year-old youth, was arrested by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location.

As of the publication of this news, the reasons for the detention of this Kurdish citizen are unknown, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard. Furthermore, he has been deprived of the right to access a lawyer, any contact with his family, and visits.

It should be noted that no image of him has reached Kurdpa, and the transfer of information regarding detainees under conditions of internet shutdowns is considered one of the layers of widespread suppression intended to limit reporting and facilitate repression in secrecy.
