January 26, 2026; “Mehdi Zarei,” a 22-year-old Kurdish youth from the village of “Hassan-Abad,” Hamedan, is the identity of another of the victims of the popular protests in Tehran at “Howze-Narmak” on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, who was killed by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic by direct fire of bullets to the heart and mouth.

An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, stated; The repressive forces of the Islamic Republic had shot Mehdi in the heart and mouth, and after the delivery of the body, some of his body parts were broken. Furthermore, to deliver the body, security agencies forced the family to provide a written commitment stating that he had “fallen from a height.” A relative of this family says; “We thank God that we received the body intact; they were all piled on top of each other without clothes and many people had their body parts removed, one of the victims’ heads seemed empty and it was like the Day of Judgment.”

In his last conversation with his mother, Mehdi Zarei had said; “Mom, my blood is not more colorful than others’.”

Mehdi Zarei was born on September 17, 2003, in the village of “Hassan-Abad,” Hamedan, and was a casting engineer and “PDR” technician.
