Karaj; Reza Hajimoradi, Kurdish Youth from Kermanshah and Tattoo Artist, One of the January 8 Victims Killed by Live Ammunition to the Chest

January 25, 2026; “Reza Hajimoradi,” a Kurdish youth from Islamabad-e Gharb (Shabad) in Kermanshah province and a resident of Karaj, is the identity of another of the victims of the popular protests on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, in this city, who lost his life due to direct fire of live ammunition from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic.

An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, stated; Reza Hajimoradi was targeted by direct fire from the repressive forces in the chest and lung area during the popular protests in Fardis, Karaj, on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, and died immediately.

According to this source, his body was delivered to the family after extensive pressure and with great difficulty. The body of Reza Hajimoradi was identified among hundreds of other bodies in Fardis, Karaj. Informed sources have also stated that a large number of the bodies of the victims are piled on top of each other in a shed.

The burial ceremony of Reza Hajimoradi was scheduled to be held on the afternoon of Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Qasr-e Shirin; however, the Ministry of Intelligence, by summoning his father, prevented the ceremony and forced the family to bury the body secretly and without commotion at 10:00 AM on that same day.

Reza Hajimoradi was a tattoo artist who had moved to Karaj with his wife to advance his work and had resided in this city for several years. He was originally from Islamabad-e Gharb (Shabad) and lived in neighborhoods including “Shahriarshahr” and “Valiasr” in Karaj.
