Marivan; Aram Nikpey Transferred to Prison to Serve Sentence

January 24, 2026; Aram Nikpey, a Kurdish citizen from the village of “Ney” in Marivan, was transferred to the prison of this county to serve his sentence.

According to an informed source, this citizen was sentenced by the Marivan Revolutionary Court to three months in prison on the charge of “propaganda against the state.”

On Friday, March 21, 2025, Mr. Nikpey was arrested after being summoned to the Intelligence Administration of Marivan, and following the completion of interrogation stages, he was temporarily released on bail.
