Sanandaj; Detention and Lack of Information on the Fate of Foad Enayati, Civil Activist and Former Political Prisoner

January 18, 2026; Two days after the arbitrary detention of “Foad Enayati,” a civil activist and former political prisoner from Sanandaj, no information is available regarding his fate and place of detention.

According to an informed source to “Kurdpa,” on Thursday, January 15, 2026, “Foad Enayati” was detained following a raid by security forces on his home without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location; and still no information remains available regarding his fate and place of detention.

It should be noted that Foad Enayati has a history of multiple arrests and convictions and was also detained during the “Jin Jiyan Azadi” revolutionary uprising.
