Karaj; Spraying of a Sonqori Kurdish Family's Car with Bullets and the Death of the Mother, Father, and Son: Zahra Bani Amerian, Bijan Mostafavi, and Danial Mostafavi

January 15, 2026; In the bloody massacre of January 9, 2026, by the military-repressive forces of Karaj, a Kurdish family from Sonqor, a suburb of Kermanshah and residents of Karaj, were collectively targeted in a government killing and lost their lives as a result of their vehicle being sprayed with bullets by repressive forces.

An informed source, while confirming this news, said; “Bijan Mostafavi,” 55 years old, a retired educator and father of the family, “Zahra Bani Amerian,” 48 years old, the mother of the family and a retiree of the Social Security Organization, and “Danial Mostafavi,” the 19-year-old son and a computer science student, were targeted by the deadly fire of military-repressive forces inside their personal vehicle on Friday, January 9, 2026, during the popular protests in Karaj and lost their lives as a family.

It is said that the eldest son of the family, “Davoud Mostafavi,” was also targeted by gunfire in the vehicle and was severely wounded, and there is no information regarding his latest status.

This family is originally Kurdish and from the city of Sonqor in Kermanshah Province.
