As’ad Sedighi Released from Saqqez Prison on Temporary Bail of One Billion Tomans

On Sunday, September 6, 2025, As’ad Sedighi, a member of the “Halo” Mountaineering Group in Saqqez and a resident of Kawmele village in the Saqqez region, was temporarily released on bail of one billion tomans until the conclusion of judicial proceedings.

This civil activist was transferred to Saqqez Prison on Saturday, September 5, 2025, after the completion of his interrogation at one of the security detention centers in Sanandaj.

During his detention, Mr. Sedighi was denied access to legal counsel and family visitation.

On Sunday, July 20, 2025, As’ad Sedighi was transferred from Saqqez to a security detention facility in Sanandaj after being held for five days following his arrest by security forces.

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, security agents raided his home in Kawmele village without presenting a judicial warrant and placed him under arrest.

As of the time of this report, the reasons for his arrest and the charges brought against this member of the “Halo” mountaineering group remain unknown.
