Zobeyr Mahmoudi was temporarily released from Naqadeh prison on bail

On Monday, August 18, 2025, a Kurdish citizen from Piranshahr named Zobeyr Mahmoudi was temporarily released from Naqadeh prison on bail after 39 days of pre-trial detention.
On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, after 28 days of interrogation and arbitrary detention, this citizen was transferred from one of Urmia’s security detention centers to Naqadeh prison.
At 3 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, Zobeyr Mahmoudi, a 32-year-old resident of Piranshahr, was arrested during a raid by security forces on his home without a judicial warrant.
Zobeyr Mahmoudi was born in 1993 and is married.
As of the time of this report, the reasons for his arrest and the charges against this Kurdish citizen remain unclear.
