More information on the recent clash between Peshmerga and IRGC

Kurdpa Agency: In a statement addressed the Kurdish nation, the Central Command of Kurdistan’s Peshmerga Forces threatened retaliation against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Publishing a statement in the official website of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, the Central Command of Kurdistan’s Peshmerga Forces declared: “In early hours of Saturday, 11th August (around 1:00) a Peshmerga Platoon was ambushed by the IRGC’s forces in three sides while was being targeted by the regime’s artillery. After almost six hours unfair clash between the both sides, The Peshmerga Forces was succeeded in pushing back their enemy”.

“According to our information, 12 IRGC terrorists were killed and 8 others were severely injured. As the battle ended, the enemy immediately transferred the dead bodies of their forces as well as their injured forces to Urmia”, reads the statement.

“In this unfair battle, unfortunately four Peshmergas, Abdolsalam Abdi, Soleiman Mohammadzadeh, Abdolwahid Sohrabi and Ismail Iranmanesh, were martyred. Being wounded at first stage of the battle, three of these martyrs took their own lives with grenade to avoid being arrested by the enemy, because of their severe injuries and lack of transportation means”, continues the statement.

“During this battle, two urban Peshmergas, Osman Rahmani and Mehran Tahapoor, were martyred as well”, adds the statement.
