Today, Sunday, September 13, 2026; "Siamak Mofidi" and "Soroush Enayati," two detained Kurdish teenagers, were temporarily released on a 1-billion-toman bail each from the Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center in Tehran after 9 days of arbitrary detention and the opening of a security case against them by the Ministry of Intelligence in Tehran. Throughout their arbitrary detention, they were denied access to legal counsel and family visits.

On September 9, 2026, following 5 days of arbitrary detention, Siamak Mofidi and Soroush Enayati were charged with offenses including "acting against national security," "propaganda against the system," and "disrupting public order." Security fabrications against the two teenagers had been prepared prior to their arrest, and authorities initially requested a heavy bail of 7 billion tomans each for their temporary release while they were being held at the Tehran Juvenile Correction Center.

On Saturday evening, September 5, 2026, Siamak Mofidi, 17, and Soroush Enayati, 16, were arbitrarily arrested without a judicial warrant when security forces raided their residence and transferred them to an undisclosed location. The two teenagers were subsequently taken under heavy security measures to an unknown facility in Tehran for interrogation before it was confirmed that they were being held at the Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center in "Shahr-e Ziba," Tehran.

The two teenagers had been working at a cafe in Tehran over recent months.

The Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center of Tehran Province, operated under the Supervision of the Prisons Organization for detaining minors under the age of 18, is located in the Shahr-e Ziba neighborhood of District 5, Tehran.
