Medical error, this time in Urmieh took the life of a pregnant woman.

Kurdpa agency: A gynecologist malpractice took the life of a pregnant woman in Urmieh.

Kurdpa News agency stated that last week a pregnant woman died in Kawser hospital in Urmieh. This medical incident was due to another medical malpractice.

The victim is a Kurdish woman named Nafiya Daveti from Melouneh village of Somaye Beradoust region. The stiches have allegedly not been removed from this woman’s internal organs; therefore she died of subsequent bleeding. After giving birth in Kawser hospital this Kurdish woman was discharged however a few days later due to a sever abdominal pain she was taken to Sayid Shohada hospital.

Medical team in this hospital believed that she died because of internal bleeding which was a result of not closing her internal organs after the procedure. This is a second death due to malpractice within a short period of time in the Iranian Kurdistan.

Kurdpa has also previously reported that a pregnant woman named Sohayla Moloudi 31 years old lost her life in less than 24 hours after cesarean. This incident was also because medical malpractice. The patient finally died due to severe internal bleeding and reducing blood pressure.
