Intelligence Ministry took the responsibility for the attack on PDKI’s Peshmerga forces

Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): Iranian Intelligence Ministry took the responsibility for the Friday’s attack on the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI)’s Peshmerga forces in the city of Pawa (Paweh), located in Kirmashan (Kermanshan) province.

Issuing a statement, Iranian Intelligence Ministry claimed that had they had reports on the whereabouts of the PDKI’s Pershmerga forces, they attacked them.

The ministry claimed they had seized “several guns, hand grenades, other military equipment and a few documents”. It blamed “Arabic countries” for supporting the PDKI’s activities.

On Friday, the 12th of October, a heavy clash took place between the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI)’s Peshmerga Force and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the city of Pawa.

According to a statement released by the Central Command of Kurdistan’s Peshmerga Forces “at about 8 a.m. in the morning, Friday, October 12, 2018, the Peshmerga forces who had been surrounded by the regime’s force in a mountain resort called Bidmiri in the city of Pawa, clashed with the regime forces”.

“The place where Peshmerga forces had positioned was targeted by heavy weapons. The clash continued until 11 a.m. in which, according to the received information, three members of the IRGC were killed”, the statement continues.

“Unfortunately, two Peshmergas, Shaho Waisi and Zaniyar Islami, were martyred and a civil citizen, Farshad Chechani was shot dead by Iranian forces”, the PDKI says in the statement.
