Mahabad; Anvar Moloudi Released on 15-Billion-Toman Bail After 4 Months of Arbitrary Detention

July 13, 2026; "Anvar Moloudi," a Kurdish citizen from Mahabad, was temporarily released from prison on bail after 4 months and 8 days (130 days) of arbitrary detention, upon submitting a heavy bail of 15 billion Tomans.

An informed source confirmed the news to Kurdpa, stating: "Today, Monday, July 13, 2026, Anvar Moloudi, a 40-year-old Kurdish citizen from 'Kheyrabad' village, a suburb of the Shamat region of Mahabad, was temporarily released after 130 days of arbitrary detention upon posting a heavy bail of 15 billion Tomans."

Anvar Moloudi was arrested on March 6, 2026, without a judicial warrant by Intelligence Department forces in Mahabad and was transferred to an unknown location. Throughout his entire detention period, he was deprived of the right to access a lawyer, family visits, and phone calls with his family.
