Malekshahi; 25 days of detention and absolute lack of information regarding the fate of Sikan Roshani and Soleiman Gerami Severe concern for their lives and fates

February 9, 2026; Following 25 days since the arbitrary detention of two Kurdish citizens from “Malekshahi” in “Ilam” province, identified as “Sikan Roshani” and civil activist “Soleiman Gerami,” there is no information regarding their fate or place of detention. The continuation of this absolute lack of information and arbitrary detention has led to severe concern for their families regarding their lives and fates.

An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated; “Sikan Roshani” and “Soleiman Gerami” were arrested by security forces on January 16, 2026, without the presentation of a judicial warrant and were transferred to an unknown location. Since then, there has been no information regarding their fate.

During their period of arbitrary detention, these Kurdish citizens have been completely deprived of the right to access a lawyer, as well as contact and visitation with their families.
