Tehran; Sam Sohbat-zadeh, 14-year-old Kurmanj Kurdish child, identity of another January 8 victim Killed by a live bullet to the head

February 9, 2026; “Sam Sohbat-zadeh,” a 14-year-old Kurmanj Kurdish child originally from “Khalkhal” in “Ardabil” province and a resident of “Tehran,” is the identity of another victim of the popular protests of January 8, 2026, at “Qaleh Hassan Khan” Square (Qods City) in “Tehran.” He lost his life due to the direct firing of a live bullet to the head by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic.

An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated; his family transferred his body to their hometown via a private vehicle on the same night he was shot. The body of “Sam Sohbat-zadeh” was buried on January 10, 2026, in the cemetery of his native village, “Lanbar,” in the “Khalkhal” region of “Ardabil” province.

“Sam Sohbat-zadeh” was a child who had been working alongside his studies since the age of 10 to support his family; however, he had left school in September 2025 to work full-time.
