Tehran; Two weeks of detention and lack of information regarding the fate of Omid Amani 30-year-old Kurdish youth from Kamyaran

February 8, 2026; Following two weeks since the arbitrary detention of “Omid Amani,” a 30-year-old Kurdish citizen from “Kamyaran” and a resident of “Tehran,” there is still no information regarding his fate or place of detention, and his relatives are intensely worried about his life and fate.

An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated; “Omid Amani” was arbitrarily arrested in early February 2026, during a raid by more than 12 security personnel on his family home at 2:00 AM, without the presentation of a judicial warrant. He was transferred to an unknown location, and since then, no information regarding his status has been available.

During his period of arbitrary detention, this Kurdish citizen has been completely deprived of the right to access a lawyer, as well as contact and visitation with his family.
