Sirvan / Ilam; 26 days of arbitrary detention and absolute lack of information regarding the fate of Arash Azizi 16-year-old Kurdish adolescent

February 8, 2026; Following 26 days since the arbitrary detention of “Arash Azizi,” a 16-year-old Kurdish adolescent from the village of “Bozhan” in “Sirvan” county, “Ilam” province, there is still no information regarding his fate or place of detention, and his relatives are intensely worried about his life and fate.

An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated; “Arash Azizi” was arrested on January 14, 2026, during a raid by security forces on his family home, without the presentation of a judicial warrant and in a violent manner. He was transferred to an unknown location, and as of the time of this report, no information regarding his status is available.

During his period of arbitrary detention, this Kurdish adolescent has been completely deprived of the right to access a lawyer, as well as contact and visitation with his family.
