Esfarayen; Rasoul Jafari, Kurmanji Kurdish student, identity of another January 8 victim Killed by a live bullet to the side

February 1, 2026; “Rasoul Jafari,” a 19-year-old Kurmanji Kurdish youth from “Esfarayen” in “North Khorasan” province, is the identity of another victim of the popular protests of January 8, 2026, in “Esfarayen.” He lost his life due to the direct firing of live ammunition to the “side” area by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic.

An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated; after being wounded, Rasoul Jafari was transferred to “Imam Khomeini Hospital” in “Esfarayen,” but due to the severity of the injuries, he lost his life on Saturday morning, January 10, 2026, around 3:00 AM. His body was delivered to the family, though his hair had been cut short.

According to this source, security agencies placed the family under intense pressure to declare him a “government martyr.” As a result of these pressures, the family was forced to bury the body of “Rasoul Jafari” secretly and under the cover of night.

Rasoul Jafari was a student and simultaneously worked in a store.

Before his death, he had written in a message to his friends: “We have understood peace; we have measured pain against a gun.”
