Bojnord Prison; 28 Days of Arbitrary Detention and Uncertainty for Meysam Shakeri, Kurdish Youth Serious Concerns Regarding His Life and Fate

February 5, 2026; Following 28 days since the arbitrary detention of “Meysam Shakeri,” a Kurdish youth from “Bojnord,” he remains in a state of uncertainty. This Kurdish citizen was transferred to “Bojnord Prison” in recent days but continues to be deprived of the right to access a lawyer and visit with his family.

An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated: “Meysam Shakeri” was arrested on January 9, 2026, by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location. According to this source, after the end of the detention and interrogation period, he was transferred to “Bojnord Prison” in recent days and is still being held in a state of uncertainty.

It is worth noting that during his 28 days of arbitrary detention, “Meysam Shakeri” has been completely deprived of the right to access a lawyer and visit with his family; a matter that has seriously increased concerns regarding the possibility of an unfair trial, the issuance of heavy sentences, and his physical well-being.
