February 18, 2026; After 42 days since the arbitrary detention of "Ahmad Khaksar Toraghi", a Kurdish citizen from the city of "Shirvan" in "North Khorasan", there is no information available regarding his fate or place of detention, and this matter has led to severe concern for his relatives regarding his life and fate.
An informed source, while confirming this news, told Kurdpa: "Ahmad Khaksar Toraghi" was detained on January 8, 2026, without a judicial warrant by security forces and transferred to an unknown location, and since then, despite the family's repeated inquiries to various institutions, no information has been available regarding his fate or place of detention.
Until the publication of this report, this Kurdish citizen has been deprived of the right to access a lawyer and contact or visitation with his family.
"Ahmad Khaksar Toraghi" is the father of a daughter who is waiting for him. He is from the Kurmanji Kurds of "Shirvan".
Also, a video of forced confessions resulting from severe torture has been broadcast on the "North Khorasan IRIB", referring to him as the "leader of the Shirvan protests", and this matter has led to severe concern regarding his fate and life, and the issuance of heavy sentences against him.
