Kermanshah; Tayyebeh Rezaei, Mother of Two Young Children, Identity of Another of the January 8 Victims
January 23, 2026; “Tayyebeh Rezaei,” a Kurdish woman from Kermanshah and mother of two young children, is the identity of another of the victims of the January 8 popular protests in this city who was killed by the firing of live ammunition by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic.
An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, stated; “Tayyebeh Rezaei” was targeted by direct fire of live ammunition from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, during the popular protests in Kermanshah, in the “Moallem Neighborhood,” and lost her life. She died before the eyes of her child.
Tayyebeh Rezaei, daughter of Mohammad Ali, was a Kurdish citizen from Kermanshah and the guardian of two young children, aged 9 and 13, named “Sorena” and “Samyar.” Her body was buried on January 12, 2026.
It has not yet been determined for Kurdpa whether an amount was received from the family for the delivery of this victim's body or if they were forced to sign a written commitment; however, sources had previously told Kurdpa that government institutions have received amounts between 700 million Tomans and one billion Tomans from families for the delivery of the bodies of those killed in Kermanshah, and families have been forced to pay these amounts to receive the bodies.
