January 22, 2026; “Mehrdad Karmajani,” a young Kurdish citizen from “Kangavar” in Kermanshah province, is the identity of another of the victims of the January 9 popular protests in Karaj who was killed by live ammunition from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic.

An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated: “Mehrdad Karmajani” was targeted by direct fire of live ammunition from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic on the evening of Friday, January 9, 2026, during the popular protests in Karaj and lost his life.

According to the information obtained, “Mehrdad Karmajani” was originally Lak and from the county of “Kangavar” in Kermanshah province.

It has not yet been determined for “Kurdpa” whether the body of this victim has been delivered to the family or not; furthermore, it is unclear whether an amount was received from the family for the delivery of the body or if they were forced to sign a written commitment.
