An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated; “Saeed Tarvand,” a 33-year-old Kurdish youth from “Mehran,” a suburb of Ilam and a contractor for the Oil Company in Abadan, was targeted by direct fire of live ammunition from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, during the popular protests in Abadan and lost his life.
According to this source, the family of this victim was able to receive his body after 5 days of threats and by providing a written commitment, and on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the body of Saeed Tarvand was buried in his birthplace, the village of “Chalab,” a suburb of the county of “Mehran.”
