Newroz Crackdown in Kurdistan: Six Kurdish Civilians Arrested in Sanandaj

Over the past two days (March 22–23, 2025), six Kurdish civilians and civil rights activists were arrested by Iranian security forces in connection with Newroz celebrations and were taken to unknown locations.
On Sunday, March 23, security forces raided a house in the Hajjiabad neighborhood of Sanandaj without presenting a court order and arrested two civil activists:
Shno Mohammadi, 31, daughter of Naser and a computer science graduate, along with his wife Saheb (Ariwan) Shakeri, 32, son of Mohammad Aziz and a graduate in social sciences.
On the same day, three other residents of Evihang village (a rural district in Kalatrazan, Sanandaj) were also arrested by security forces. Their names are:
Shirwan Heydari, Edris Heydari, and Sirwan Hatami.
Additionally, on Saturday, March 22, Mahmoud Naderi, a resident of Dadaneh Kamangar village (also in Kalatrazan district), was re-arrested by IRGC Intelligence forces two weeks after being released on bail. He had been summoned again before being taken into custody.
As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the charges, reasons for the arrests, or the whereabouts of these six individuals.
