Kurdistan Newroz Crackdown: Kurdish Civilian Omid Moloudian Arrested by Security Forces

On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, a 22-year-old Kurdish civilian identified as Omid Moloudian, from the village of Kahrizeh Sardar in Bukan City, was arrested by Iranian security forces and taken to an unknown location.
According to a reliable source, Mr. Moloudian was arrested at his home without the presentation of a court warrant.
The source added that his arrest appears to be linked to his participation in Newroz celebrations, which have been met with increased suppression by authorities in Kurdish regions.
