Masoud Shamsnejad, the appointed lawyer of four executed Kurdish political prisoners, wrote on his X page in response to the execution of these prisoners; "My clients Pejman Fatehi, Vafa Azarbar, Mohammad Faramarz, and Mohsen Mazloum were executed at the time of the call to prayer, (Azan) and this is while it was stated in both the primary and final verdicts that the defendants were arrested before the operation. Perhaps the rejection of the term retribution before the crime was nothing more than a joke that we believed in." On the morning of Monday, January 29, 2024, the death sentences of Mohsen Mazloum, Mohammad Faramarzi, Vafa Azarbar, and Pejman Fatehi, four Kurdish political prisoners, were carried out. These prisoners were just allowed to have their first and last meeting with their families after 19 months of complete enforced disappearance yesterday afternoon.

These four political prisoners were transferred to Qezelhesar prison in Karaj for execution after a short meeting with their families.

On September 18, 2023, the death sentences of these four Kurdish political prisoners were issued by the Revolutionary Court and the Supreme Court of the country rejected the appeal of these four political prisoners and confirmed their death sentences.

These four political prisoners were sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court for the charge of "collaboration with Israel" in the verdict of "waging war and corruption on earth", to 10 years of imprisonment for the charge of "forming and managing a group to disrupt the country's security" and to five years of imprisonment for the charge of "membership in the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan".

The families of these four political prisoners, who had been completely unaware of them for more than a year and a half after being arrested and forcibly disappeared, were informed of their death sentences.
