Security forces raid the home of two Kurdish citizens from Marivan to arrest them
On November 20, 2023, security forces raided the home of two citizens from the village of "Lenjabad" in Marivan, named "Aras Faraji" and "Kaveh Faraji" with arrested them.
According to a source informed to Kurdpa; security forces, after failing to arrest them due to their absence from home, searched the house, confiscated personal belongings, and interrogated their family.
Kaveh Faraji is a former political prisoner who was arrested in 2011 and sentenced to 5 years in prison on charges of "collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties to the Iranian government" after enduring several months of detention and torture in solitary confinement. He was released from prison on April 25, 2016, at the end of his sentence.
Aras Faraji and Kaveh Faraji are cousins.
