Kurdpa Agency: On approaching Eid al-Fitr, authorities of the Central Prison of Urmia opposed to give leave of absence to security and political prisoners.
According to a report by the Kurdistan Press Agency, authorities at the Central Prison of Urmia on the approach of Eid al-Fitr refused to give leave of absence to security and political prisoners.
An informed source from the central prison of Urmia told the Kurdpa Agency: \"On various occasions, judicatory has issued a directive for the prison authorities that prevent the leave of absence to detainees with charges of spying or cooperate Kurdish parties opposition of the Iranian government.
He added that on the Eid al-Fitr, security and political prisoners were again deprived of their right to leave.
According to this source, security and political prisoners have repeatedly written letters to the Revolutionary Court of Urmia and the Supreme Court several times in protest of the deprivation of leave, but no response has given.
