Marivan; With the Arrest of Zanyar Eswar, Arya Maroufi, and Poshtivan Tatar, Number of Arbitrary Arrests in "Ney" Village Rises to Six

August 6, 2026 – In the continuation of the wave of arbitrary and mass arrests in cities across Kurdistan, on the dawn of Thursday, August 6, 2026, three other Kurdish citizens named "Zanyar Eswar," son of Abdullah, "Arya Maroufi," son of Ata, and "Poshtivan Tatar," son of Mohammad, from the village of "Ney" in Marivan County, were arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location. With the addition of these three cases, the number of citizens arrested in the village of "Ney" has risen to six.

According to an informed source speaking to Kurdpa, security forces arbitrarily and en masse arrested these three Kurdish citizens without presenting a judicial warrant.

In the same context, on the dawn of Thursday, August 6, 2026, three other Kurdish citizens named "Saman Khosravi," son of Omar, "Hawri Parvazeh," son of Abdullah, and "Saro Roshani," son of Showkat, from the village of "Ney" in Marivan County, were arbitrarily and en masse arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

Informed sources speaking to Kurdpa stated: Security forces raided the village of "Ney" with several vehicles to arrest these six Kurdish citizens.

As of the time of publication of this report, the reasons for the arrest of these six Kurdish citizens remain unknown, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard.
