Mahabad; Arbitrary Detention of Milad Mrovati, Kurdish Student, by Security Forces

July 28, 2026 – On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, Milad Mrovati, a bookseller and law student at the Islamic Azad University of Mahabad, was arbitrarily detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to an informed source who spoke to Kurdpa, security forces arrested this Kurdish citizen at his workplace without presenting a judicial warrant and inspected his bookstore named "Hevi".
The informed source added: Security forces confiscated several personal belongings of this Kurdish student, including his laptop.
As of the time of publication of this report, the reason for the arrest and the charges brought against Milad Mrovati remain unknown.
