Piranshahr; 16 Days of Arbitrary Detention and Lack of Information on the Fate of Khaled Hassanzadeh

June 13, 2026; Despite the passing of 16 days since the time of the arbitrary detention of Khaled Hassanzadeh, a Kurdish citizen from the city of "Piranshahr", no accurate information is available regarding his fate.

According to an informed source to Kurdpa, this Kurdish citizen has been deprived of access to a lawyer and meetings with his family since the time of his arrest until now.

This informed source added; Mr. Hassanzadeh has been transferred to one of the security detention centers in the city of "Urmia" for interrogation.

This citizen was arrested 16 days ago by security forces without being presented with a judicial warrant.

Khaled Hassanzadeh is married and has three children.
