April 5, 2026; The latest reports from the city of Saqqez indicate the continuation of a dominant security and military atmosphere in this city; such that the extensive presence of military and security forces throughout the city, the establishment of checkpoints at entrances along with the control and pursuit of citizens, the traffic of vehicles without license plates or with hidden plates, the lack of fixed deployment locations for forces and the conducting of urban maneuvers, alongside the relocation of officials' families from the city and their settlement outside of Saqqez, the continuous increase in the price of basic goods and the shortage of certain items such as clothing, severe fluctuations in the price of gasoline and restrictions on refueling, as well as the constant sending of security and promotional text messages to citizens, provide a general picture of the current situation of this city.

An informed source, while confirming these reports, told Kurdpa; the presence of government forces, including military and security, is observed extensively throughout the city. However, these forces do not have a fixed deployment location and at times are present inside vehicles, moving in maneuvers across the city and following one another. Additionally, providing food for these forces has been assigned to the municipalities, such that one week the Municipality of Saqqez and one week the Municipality of "Saheb" provide food for them.

According to this source, extensive checkpoints have been established at the entrances of cities, but the forces themselves stand at a distance from the checkpoint locations and, in case of observing suspicious cases, stop citizens, conduct searches, or pursue them.

The report further states that the vehicles of military and security forces, including both organizational and private vehicles, either lack license plates or have hidden their plates to remain concealed from public view. Furthermore, high-ranking officials in the city of Saqqez have moved their families to other areas and only they themselves remain in the city. This source also mentioned that in the organizational houses on the road to the city of Baneh, there are still individuals present who are likely army officials; such that conscripted soldiers are kept in the barracks while these individuals reside in the organizational houses.

In another part of this report, it is stated that basic goods required by the people are available in the market, but their prices are increasing on a daily basis. Also, there is a shortage of clothing because its production is not being carried out in the city of Tehran to be sent to other cities.

The source continued; electricity is constantly connected and has not been cut off so far. Regarding gasoline, its price varies in the market from 1,500 Tomans to 300,000 Tomans, but during busy times, each vehicle is only permitted to receive 20 liters of gasoline.

Additionally, text messages are continuously sent to citizens' mobile phones, which mainly include news related to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' attacks on the region and the demonstration of the Islamic Republic of Iran's superiority in these attacks. Among these messages, cases regarding "attacks on steel and iron industries in the UAE, weapons industries in Bahrain and their destruction," and the republication of reports from foreign media can be mentioned, in which phrases such as "Trump has lost control of the war" or "Iran is the first country to down an American fighter jet" are raised.
