06:20 - 6 January 2026

January 5, 2026; Over the past few days, two brothers from Kermanshah named “Rasul Kadivarian”, 18 years old, and “Reza Kadivarian”, 20 years old, were killed by the repressive and armed forces of the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) using military weapons during popular protests. To release the bodies of the two brothers to the family, security forces have demanded a payment of 800 million Tomans and requested that they be declared as “Government Basij” members.

An informed source, while confirming the news in a conversation with Kurdpa, noted that on the evening of Saturday, January 3, 2026, in the “Jafarabad” neighborhood on “Artesh” Street in Kermanshah, two Kurdish brothers named “Rasul Kadivarian”, 18 years old, and “Reza Kadivarian”, 20 years old, were targeted by military gunfire from the repressive forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and were severely wounded. Rasul died immediately after being transferred to Taleghani Hospital, and Reza, who had fallen into a coma due to the severity of his injuries, was hospitalized in the intensive care unit but passed away the following evening, Sunday, January 4, 2026.

The source added that after Rasul’s death, security agencies, the Governorship, and the Provincial Government of Kermanshah pressured his family, stating that they would only release his body and allow for burial and funeral ceremonies if they introduced Rasul as a “Government Basij” member and declared that “thugs and hooligans” had killed him.

Furthermore, after Reza’s death, the pressure on the family increased, and they were asked for 800 million Tomans for the delivery of the bodies.

Until the publication of this report, the family does not know exactly where their children's bodies are located or when they will be handed over to them, and for this reason, they have not yet been able to publish their obituary notices.
