Baneh; Young Kolbar Ebrahim Piranzad Killed by Direct Gunfire to the Heart; Another Kolbar Severely Wounded
October 24, 2025; On the evening of Friday, October 24, a Kurdish Kolbar named Ebrahim Piranzad, from Baneh, lost his life following gunfire by government military forces at the border of this county. Another Kolbar, identified as Shaho Rostami, was severely wounded in the same incident.
According to an informed source speaking to Kurpa, government forces opened fire directly and without prior warning on a group of Kolbars at the "Sardav" border in Baneh. Ebrahim Piranzad died instantly after being struck by a live bullet in the chest (heart area).
The source added: "The body of the deceased Kolbar was transferred to Salahuddin Ayoubi Hospital in Baneh and has not yet been handed over to his family."
The informed source also stated that the wounded Kolbar, Shaho Rostami, was taken to the same hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Ebrahim Piranzad was married and the father of two children. He was a resident of the village of "Bilu" in the suburbs of Baneh.
