Jafar Sadeghi, Kurdish Mountaineer, Transferred to Oshnavieh Prison to Serve Sentence

On Monday, October 13, 2025, Jafar Sadeghi, a mountaineer from Oshnavieh, was detained after being summoned to the Enforcement of Judgments Branch of the General and Revolutionary Court of Oshnavieh and was transferred to the prison of this city to serve his sentence.

On Monday, July 7, 2025, this mountaineer was sentenced to 10 months of discretionary imprisonment (Ta'ziri) by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court Two of this city on the charge of "propaganda against the system."

This Kurdish citizen had previously been detained by security forces and, after the completion of the interrogation phases, was temporarily released upon posting bail.

Additionally, the mobile phone of this Kurdish mountaineer had been confiscated by security forces.

Jafar Sadeghi is a mountaineering and rock climbing instructor and a member of the Baran Oshnavieh mountaineering group.
