Execution of Death Sentence for Mahmoud Gheitarani and Reza Shahlaeinia Carried Out in Sanandaj and Kerman Prisons

On the morning of Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner named "Mahmoud Gheitarani," from Mariwan county, was carried out in Sanandaj Central Prison.

This prisoner had been transferred to solitary confinement on Monday, September 29, 2025, for the execution of the death sentence.

Mahmoud Gheitarani, from the village of "Bardeh Sepi (Sang Sefid)" in Mariwan, was arrested in April 2021 on the charge of "premeditated murder" of his brother during a dispute over agricultural land and was later sentenced to death by the judicial system of the government of Iran.

This prisoner was married and the father of five children.

On the other hand, on the morning of Sunday, September 28, 2025, the death sentence of a prisoner named "Reza Shahlaeinia," from Qorveh county, was carried out in Kerman Central Prison.

This Kurdish prisoner was arrested five years ago on charges related to "drug offenses" at one of the checkpoints in the city of Kerman and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the government of Iran.
