Nowsud: Young Kolbar Karvan Almasi Suffers Rupture and Fracture Following Shooting by Government Military Forces

On the evening of Tuesday, September 23, 2025, a Kurdish Kolbar named “Karvan Almasi,” from Salas-e Babajani county, was severely wounded in the arm by government military fire at the Nowsud border.

According to an informed source, government military forces targeted this Kolbar with direct fire without any prior warning.

The informed source added: In this incident, the Kolbar's arm suffered a rupture and bone fracture due to being hit by a Kalashnikov bullet.

The informed source stated: The hospital has informed this Kolbar that no action will be taken until the surgery costs are paid. This is while “Karvan Almasi” belongs to the underprivileged class of society and does not have the ability to pay the heavy costs of surgery.

Doctors have warned that this Kolbar needs surgery as soon as possible, and if his surgery is not performed immediately, he will lose his arm forever.
