Kamyaran – Former Political Prisoner Ramin Gorgani Arrested by Security Forces

On Sunday, August 10, 2025, Ramin Gorgani, a former political prisoner from Kamyaran, was arrested by security forces and transferred to the Sanandaj Intelligence Office detention center for interrogation.

According to an informed source, security forces arrested this Kurdish citizen on one of Kamyaran’s streets without presenting a judicial warrant.

The source added that following his arrest, the security forces raided his family home, conducted a search, and confiscated some of his personal belongings.

As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against this former political prisoner.

Gorgani had previously been arrested on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, by security forces and was released after several weeks of temporary detention on bail.

He was later sentenced by the Kamyaran Revolutionary Court to six months in prison on the charge of “propaganda against the state,” a sentence that was later converted into a monetary fine.
