Zubair Mahmoudi Transferred to Naqadeh Prison After 28 Days of Arbitrary Detention

On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Zubair Mahmoudi, a Kurdish citizen from Piranshahr, was transferred from one of Urmia’s security detention centers to Naqadeh Prison after 28 days of interrogation and arbitrary detention.

According to an informed source, this Kurdish citizen has so far been denied access to a lawyer and the right to meet with his family.

At 3 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, Mahmoudi, 32, from Piranshahr, was arrested when security forces raided his home without presenting a judicial warrant.

Zubair Mahmoudi, born in 1993, is married.

As of the time of this report, the reasons for his arrest and the charges brought against him remain unknown.
