Bokan; Ali Gol-Mohammadi sentenced to prison

Ali Gol-Mohammadi, a resident of Bokan, was sentenced to 32 months in prison by Branch 101 of the city's Criminal Court 2.

The court accused this citizen of "being a member of one of the opposition Kurdish parties to the Iranian government, participating in protests, and distributing leaflets and statements."

This verdict was announced to this Kurdish citizen in early April, and he protested against the court's decision.

On Thursday, February 16th, 2023, Ali Gol-Mohammadi was temporarily released from Bokan Prison after posting a bail of 300 million tomans.

This citizen was transferred from a security detention center to Bokan Prison after the interrogation process and during his detention, he was deprived of access to a lawyer and family visits.

On Sunday, January 15, 2023, Mr. Gol-Mohammadi was arrested without a judicial order by security forces.
