Two political prisoners were sentenced to death and imprisonment

Kurdpa Agency: Two Kurdish political prisoners imprisoned in Sanandaj Central Prison were sentenced to death and imprisonment.

 According to a report by the Kurdistan Press Agency, the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court sentenced Hoshmand Alipour, a Kurdish political prisoner from Sardasht to death and sentenced Mohammad Ostad Qader, a Kurdish political prisoner from Saqez, to five years in prison.

 On Sunday, December 29th, the sentences were communicated to the families and lawyer of these two political prisoners.

 These two political prisoners were tried in the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj on October 31st, on charges of "revolt" in the presence of their lawyer, Ali Sakeni. 

 These two political prisoners were arrested by intelligence forces on August 3rd, 2018, on charges of membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian governmentt and after being detained for 108 days, on November 19th, 2018, they transferred from Sanandaj Ettelaat detention to the Saqez Central Prison Quarantine. The two political prisoners were then transferred to the central prison of Sanandaj on December 26th again. 

 Following the arrests of these two political prisoners, the Iranian government TV broadcast their forced confessions and the families of these two political prisoners announced that they had been subjected to pressure and torture.
